Whispair Safety

Last updated: 12 February 2026Whispair is committed to protecting children and preventing child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE). This page explains the safety standards we apply to reduce the risk of CSAE on Whispair and how to report concerns.This page should be read together with our:

1. Scope and key definitions

- Child / minor: a person under the age of 18.
- CSAM: child sexual abuse material (also known as child sexual exploitation material).
- CSAE: child sexual abuse and exploitation, including grooming, sexual extortion, trafficking, and any sexualised or exploitative content involving minors.


2. Zero-tolerance policy

Whispair has zero tolerance for CSAM/CSAE.Content or behavior that involves minors in a sexualised or exploitative context is strictly prohibited, including (non-exhaustive):- Creating, sharing, requesting, or attempting to obtain CSAM.
- Sexualisation of minors (including “jokes”, insinuations, or roleplay).
- Grooming behavior, solicitation, or coercion of minors.
- Sexual extortion (including threats to share intimate content).
- Any facilitation of child exploitation.
We will take action on content and accounts that violate these standards (see Section 5).


3. Age requirements

Whispair is not intended for children under 16. Users must meet our minimum age requirement as described in Terms and Privacy Policy.If we become aware that an account is being used by someone under the applicable minimum age, we may take appropriate action, which can include restricting features, suspending or terminating the account, and handling related data in line with our policies and legal obligations.


4. Reporting child safety concerns

We encourage users to report any suspected CSAE/CSAM or unsafe behavior immediately.4.1 Report in-appWhispair provides in-app reporting tools to:- Report (“flag”) global Whispers

Please provide as much detail as you can in the report reason field so we can review it effectively.
Please use reporting tools honestly and do not submit knowingly false or abusive reports.
4.2 Report by emailIf you cannot report in-app (or you need to provide additional context), contact us at:[email protected]Include (if available):- A description of what happened
- The user(s) involved (username and/or any identifying details shown in the app)
- The Whisper or conversation context (what you saw/heard and when)
- Any relevant screenshots or other evidence
4.3 EmergenciesIf someone is in immediate danger, contact your local emergency services and/or relevant local hotlines. Whispair is not designed for emergency communications.


5. Enforcement and response

When we receive a report or otherwise become aware of potential CSAE/CSAM, we may:- Review the report and available account/content information
- Remove, limit, or hide content
- Restrict features (for example, messaging or posting)
- Suspend or terminate accounts
- Preserve relevant information where reasonably necessary for safety and compliance
We may use a combination of human review and automated systems (including AI-assisted tools) to help detect and address abuse, consistent with our Terms.We do not guarantee that we will detect all harmful content or behavior, but we aim to act reasonably when we become aware of violations.

6. Cooperation with authorities

Where required by law, or where we reasonably believe there is a serious risk of harm, we may report and cooperate with relevant authorities. This can include responding to valid legal requests and sharing information as permitted/required by applicable law.


7. Data handling for reports

Reports, related content, and enforcement records may be retained for longer periods where necessary to:- Keep the app safe
- Prevent repeated abuse
- Comply with legal obligations
